When I first walked into Trollers Fish & Chips, I was immediately struck by the cozy, nautical-themed décor and the friendly vibe. The place had a bustling energy, filled with families, friends, and solo diners all eager to enjoy a meal. With so many rave reviews, I couldn’t wait to dive into the menu and try out their highly recommended dishes
My culinary adventure began with the Veggie Burger, a delightful surprise. The patty was a hearty blend of vegetables and spices, perfectly grilled and served on a soft bun with fresh lettuce, tomato, and a tangy sauce. Each bite was a satisfying mix of flavors and textures, making it a great option even for non-vegetarians. Next up was the Chicken Burger, which did not disappoint. The chicken was tender and juicy, seasoned to perfection and topped with a delicious blend of mayo and crisp veggies. It was simple yet incredibly flavorful, a classic done right.
The Brisket Burger was another highlight. The rich, smoky brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, complemented by tangy barbecue sauce and crispy onions. It was a hearty and indulgent treat that left me thoroughly impressed. Of course, I had to try the Salmon Burger as well. The salmon patty was fresh and flavorful, topped with a refreshing dill sauce that added a nice zing. It was a lighter alternative to the other burgers but just as delicious.
For a starter, the Chicken Tenders were an excellent choice. Perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, they were irresistible, especially when dipped in the accompanying sauces.
The Loaded Fries were a feast in themselves. Crispy fries smothered in melted cheese, bacon bits, and a drizzle of ranch dressing – each bite was a decadent delight that we couldn’t get enough of. To balance things out, I opted for the House Coleslaw. It was fresh and crunchy, with just the right amount of tangy dressing. It provided a nice contrast to the richer dishes.
The Gravy was a must-try, perfect for dipping fries or drizzling over anything. It was rich, savory, and packed with flavor, adding an extra layer of deliciousness to every bite. I also tried the Chimichurri Prawns, which were a burst of flavor. The prawns were perfectly cooked, and the chimichurri sauce added a fresh, herby kick that was simply irresistible.
For something on the lighter side, the Kale Caesar Salad was fantastic. The kale was fresh and crisp, topped with a creamy Caesar dressing, croutons, and a sprinkle of Parmesan. It was a refreshing and satisfying salad that held its own against the heartier dishes. Last but not least, the Seafood Chowder was a comforting bowl of goodness. Rich and creamy, filled with chunks of fresh seafood and vegetables, it was the perfect dish to round out the meal.
My visit to Trollers Fish & Chips was a delightful experience, with each dish offering something unique and delicious. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty burger, crispy tenders, or a refreshing salad, this place has something for everyone. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their menu!
